Workshop
NICOLE organises yearly one or more workshops for its members on issues concerning contaminated land. Every workshop is organised by a team of members forming the Organising Committee, facilitated by the Network secretariat. NICOLE has organised for over 20 workshops the last decade, always looking for interesting topics and speakers. The programs show clear objectives (what do we want to achieve in this workshop) and provide new input for members of NICOLE. Depending on the workshop theme, an interactive session is scheduled, e.g. in parallel groups, in order to get feed-back from the workshop participants. Every workshop is reported in a meeting report or summary, which can be downloaded from the publications section. It is not uncommon that based on a workshop a position paper is written or a Thematic Working Group evolves. To contribute to a better climate NICOLE launched her Sustainability Protocol to reduce the impact of her events.
