Workshop & Events

The NICOLE Fall Workshop 2025 will take place on 13 & 14 November 2025 in Budapest, Hungary, hosted by the Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises (HAEE).

This year’s theme focuses on the remediation of legacy pollutions with a focus on developing and operating industrial sites. The workshop will bring together experts from across Europe to share knowledge, case studies, and innovative approaches to land and soil remediation.

The Call for Abstracts is now open!

We invite contributions on six key themes, including:

• Hungarian remediation projects
• Site-specific strategies in Eastern Europe
• Innovations and nature-based solutions
• Funding large or complex remediation efforts
• Classical and emerging contaminants
• The role of expert networks and funders

Abstracts (1 page), a short biography, and a proposed presentation structure should be submitted by Wednesday, 3 September 2025, to the NICOLE Secretariat.
