"Land Stewardship is of all times: As long as there have been people, they knew they had to care for their land in order to survive”
8 out of 17 SDGs are directly linked to Land through one or more sub-goals In the circle graph to the right the size of the circle segment represents the amount of sub-goals that directly link to Land SDG 17 is about partnerships for the realization and integration of the goals. Land Stewardship can be (but not necessarily is) an example of such a partnership, public-private, civil-society etc.
In 2015 the UN adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); a call for action to society worldwide to move from exploitation to sustainable use of our planet’s resources and from inequality, poverty and hunger to a good life for all. The arrangement of the Sustainable Development goals in the Wedding cake clearly illustrates the interdependency between the biosphere, society and economy. Our land and biosphere are an essential support for our society and economy, whereas the latter put a pressure on the biosphere
